| LIBRARY
CARD, with all its privileges, is available to anyone
who lives within the corporate limits of Lombard. Cards may be obtained
by presenting
proper identification and
completing the application form. A parent's signature is required
for all children under the age of 18. These cards have a three year
expiration. |
| NON-RESIDENT
CARD for families outside
of the Lombard corporate limits may also be obtained. A
fee is charged for the non-resident card. This fee is determined
using the same method by which resident taxpayers' annual taxes
are determined. The library's current tax rate will be applied to
the Equalized Assessed Valuation (EAV) appearing on a registrant's
tax bill. If you are renting outside the Lombard corporate limits,
a fee of $92.72 per family, for the 2010/2011
fiscal year will be due. Keep in mind, once the fee is paid, all
family members residing at that residence can receive a library
card. Please be sure to bring proper
identification. These
cards have a one year expiration. |
| PROPERTY
OWNER within the Village limits of Lombard may obtain
a library card at no cost. Family members currently residing with
the property owner are also able to receive library cards. The cards
have a three year expiration. |
| BUSINESS
CARD can be obtained by owning a business within the
village limits of Lombard. It is required that the owner present
a letter stating the desire to have a business library card. The
letter needs to be on company letterhead and the library card will
be opened in the business name. The company's top administrator
is responsible for all account activity. The library card is good
for three years at which time the process would need to be repeated.

Lost
cards may be replaced for a nominal fee. Any change of address
or lost card should be promptly reported.
