The Friends of the Helen M. Plum Library sponsor three programs each year of general interest to the public.

Next Program:

Dessert with the Director
Sunday, January 24, 2010 at 2 PM

You will have noticed many changes in the library by January. If all goes as planned, newspapers and magazines will have been moved to the new reading room on the second floor. DVDs will have a new location and the Teens will have an expanded space all to themselves. There will be newly refurbished meeting rooms, a new front desk, new carpeting in some parts of the building and who knows what else. On top of everything else, we now hear that the library is a "district" library.

What does all of this mean? Will my taxes go up? Where are my magazines? Where are my DVDs? Who moved my cheese? Why do we need more meeting rooms? Coffee with newspapers? What will they think of next?

Please join us for a members-only program in which Library Director Bob Harris, and Library Board President Cindy Ward will speak to the chages and talk about what could be next for the library. There will be an opportunity to ask questions, and perhaps even to tour the new areas.

This program is for Friends of the Library only.
The program will follow a brief business meeting which will begin at 2 PM.
Dessert will be served.
