4TH GRADE WINNER - Hunter
"Spring Showers Bring Flowers"

Summer is near
Playing outside
Running about
Ice cream!!!
No more snow
Green grass

Sunny days
Happy children
Oodles of Joy
"Watch me!" the children cry
Eagles soar high above
Red carnations pop right up
Sweet lemonade is made

Brightly colored gardens
Red tulips bloom
Igloos no more
Not another snowflake
Great joy all around

Fountains spray
Lovely flowers
Orchids bloom
Wrens chirp
Easter is near
Red roses for mothers day!!!
Spring has finally arrived

5TH GRADE WINNER - Cori
"Dogs"

dogs
friendly, adorable
playing, jumping, running
Let's go play, puppies!
chasing, licking sleeping
cute, cuddly
pets

6TH GRADE WINNER - Rebekah
"Puppy"

Tiny, shiny, pitch-black eyes
Chases bees and butterflies

Wet and wrinkly, small black nose
Bites holes in the garden hose

Floppy, velvety, pinkish ears
Watches as the postman nears

Itty-bitty cushioned feet
Barks at squirrels across the street

Blurry, quickly wagging tail
His midnight howls never fail

This tiny dog is so divine.
The greatest little puppy...
...Mine!

7TH GRADE WINNER - Savannah
"Ode to My Dog"

Gypsy Gypsy oh so sweet
You have paws instead of feet
You like to run and play outside
You never slip you never slide

You love summer and the snow
Your favorite color I don't know?
You're a Cocker Spaniel mix
And you can do a lot of tricks

You make me laugh you make me smile
I hope you stay around a while
You never growl you never bite
You sleep with me in bed at night

Gypsy Gypsy oh so sweet
You can bark instead of tweet
Gypsy Gypsy you're so fun
I'll play with you until the day is done

8TH GRADE WINNER - Alekha
